Kylian Mbappé Leads Real Madrid to a Dominant 4-0 Victory Over Valencia

French star Kylian Mbappé guided Real Madrid to a resounding 4-0 victory against Valencia on Saturday evening in Round 11 of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Mbappé scored twice, while Jude Bellingham and Álvaro Carreras also found the net in the 19th, 31st, 44th, and 82nd minutes. Before the match, Mbappé, recently awarded the European Golden Shoe for last season, received a warm ovation from the Santiago Bernabéu crowd. He took a commemorative photo with his teammates holding the prestigious trophy and celebrated being named La Liga Player of the Month for October.

Mbappé becomes only the third Real Madrid player to win the Golden Shoe since the award was established in 1967.

Match Summary:

Real Madrid started with early offensive pressure. In the 4th minute, Mbappé received a through ball behind Valencia’s defense and was one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but his shot was deflected off a defender and narrowly over the bar. A minute later, Federico Valverde unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box that went just wide of the left post.

In the 9th minute, Vinícius Júnior nearly opened the scoring with a powerful left-footed shot inside the box, but Valencia keeper Aguerizabala made a brilliant save. Valencia responded quickly, but Real Madrid defender Højlund intercepted a dangerous pass in the 10th minute that could have put Dango in on goal.

Real Madrid maintained offensive pressure, and Bellingham’s powerful strike in the 13th minute was again denied by the keeper. Moments later, the Madrid players appealed for a penalty after a handball by Tariga on a header from Militão. Referee Busquets Ferrer consulted VAR in the 16th minute and awarded the penalty.

In the 19th minute, Mbappé calmly converted the spot-kick to the keeper’s left, putting Real Madrid ahead 1-0. Madrid continued to dominate, with Tariga blocking another attempt by Mbappé in the 25th minute.

Mbappé struck again in the 31st minute after a precise cross from Arda Güler, completing his brace. Vinícius Júnior appealed for a foul in the 34th minute, but the referee allowed play to continue. Seven minutes later, Real Madrid earned a second penalty after Thierry fouled Carreras in the box. Vinícius stepped up but his penalty was brilliantly saved by Aguerizabala in the 43rd minute.

One minute later, Bellingham scored a thunderous strike from outside the area to make it 3-0 in the 44th minute. In stoppage time of the first half (45+4), Arda Güler came close to a fourth goal, but the keeper held firm. Madrid went into halftime leading comfortably 3-0.

In the second half, Real Madrid continued to press. Militão’s attempt in the 50th minute was disallowed for an attacking foul, and two minutes later Santamaría cleared a dangerous ball aimed at Mastantuono. Camavinga’s long pass in the 57th minute failed to reach Vinícius, ending with the keeper.

Mbappé almost completed a hat-trick in the 61st minute after a Vinícius cross, but Aguerizabala again denied him. Valencia’s first real threat came in the 63rd minute when André Almeida fired a powerful shot from outside the area, saved quickly by Thibaut Courtois.

Coach Xabi Alonso made a tactical change in the 78th minute, replacing Vinícius with Rodrygo. The substitution was carried out in a calm, sportsmanlike manner, with Vinícius applauding the crowd and shaking hands with his teammates and coach—unlike the tension seen in previous matches.

In the 82nd minute, Álvaro Carreras scored a stunning fourth goal with a precise shot into the top corner. Valencia came close to reducing the deficit in the 89th minute when Xavi Guerra’s powerful strike from outside the box hit the post. The match ended 4-0 in favor of the hosts.
